Erika Fábián, an artist who graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, has been weaving visual stories for ten years. Her works are formed through a meticulous, repetitive process where the “dot” is not only a form, but also a deep symbol around which thoughts and feelings are built. Erika adventures through the labyrinth of meanings hidden in the dots to discover her own inner world, as a kind of self-interpretation. Her all-over paintings, composed of thousands of colour dots, are not merely abstract compositions, but are multifaceted expressions of emotional, self-reflexive and mental processes.

In the ‘Soft Dimension’ exhibition, Erika will present site-specific works that use the space to create sprawling, spatial forms. The contrast between cold iron walls and soft plush shapes reinterprets the relationship between space and art, creating an exciting dialectic. The exhibition will be accompanied by a special book launch with the support of SNAP Collective Paris publishing. The book summarises Erika Fábián’s creative journey over the past ten years and includes works by writers such as Inemesit Etentuk, Lili Boros, Róna Kopeczky and Gábor Rieder.

The photos were taken by Richárd Kiss and the exhibition will be opened by Gábor Rieder.

The event is curated by Inemesit Etentuk.
